Monique & Chris’ Spring Wedding at Krinklewood Estate
By the first weekend of October, the vines in the Hunter Valley are springing to life. Fresh green growth returns to the vineyards, bringing a beautiful sense of renewal to the landscape. It was in this early spring setting that we photographed Monique and Chris’ wedding at Krinklewood Estate.
Set in Broke, within the Hunter Valley, Krinklewood brings together a French-inspired estate, gardens and a biodynamic vineyard. It’s a setting with plenty of character, and a beautiful backdrop for wedding photographs that balance the couple with the place they chose to celebrate.
For Monique and Chris, their wedding marks the beginning of a new chapter. For us at Modern Romantics, it was an opportunity to document that chapter in photographs they can return to for years to come.
A Spring Wedding in the Hunter Valley
There’s something particularly lovely about the Hunter Valley in October. The vineyards are moving into a new season, with young leaves bringing fresh colour and texture to the rows of vines.
For couples considering a spring wedding in the Hunter Valley, this changing landscape is part of the appeal. Early spring has its own character: new growth, open views and a countryside setting that feels full of possibility.
Monique and Chris’ wedding fell on that first October weekend, making the season a natural part of their story.
The French-Inspired Setting of Krinklewood Estate
Krinklewood Estate offers a distinctive setting for a Hunter Valley wedding. Its French-inspired character sits comfortably within the surrounding countryside, bringing together architectural details, garden spaces and vineyard views.
From a photography perspective, that variety creates opportunities for both wider photographs that show the setting and closer portraits that keep the focus on the couple. The location becomes part of the story without taking attention away from the people in it.
If you’re drawn to a vineyard wedding with a European feel, Krinklewood Estate in Broke is a beautiful venue to explore.
