Sophia + Stefano | An Intimate Sydney Wedding in Woolwich and Walsh Bay

From The Langham, Sydney, to a small church in Woolwich and a waterfront reception in Walsh Bay, Sophia and Stefano’s autumn wedding brought together timeless style and an intimate gathering of their favourite people. Celebrating with 70 friends and family, their day was centred on sharing the occasion with those closest to them.

The day began with Sophia getting ready at The Langham, while Stefano prepared in Rozelle. Sophia wore the Hazel gown by KYHA, with hair and makeup by Serena Wylie, while Stefano chose P. Johnson. Florals by Susan Avery Flowers & Events added the finishing touch to their wedding day details.

Their late-afternoon ceremony took place at St Peter Chanel Church in Woolwich, where Father Aliki Langi officiated their marriage. With their bridesmaids, groomsmen and page boy beside them, Sophia and Stefano exchanged vows surrounded by the people who had come to celebrate this next chapter with them.

Following the ceremony, the celebrations continued at View by Sydney on Pier 2 in Walsh Bay. The waterfront setting brought a distinctly Sydney feel to the evening, with live entertainment by Red Soda Band and a wedding cake by San Valentino completing their reception.

When Sophia and Stefano first reached out, they spoke about wanting their photographs to feel timeless, effortless and natural. Alongside the big moments, they wanted to remember the smaller details and the moments in between. That wish shaped the way we approached their day, keeping their connection and the people around them at the heart of the story.

Their Woolwich and Walsh Bay wedding was a celebration of love, family and considered simplicity. A beautiful Sydney setting, a close gathering of loved ones and a day to look back on together.
