ABOUT
Engagement sessions are a chance for us to capture the moments that tell your story and illustrate the love you share. They allow us to connect with you prior to your wedding, practice in front of the camera and share the experience of being photographed together prior to your wedding day. Engagement sessions help you feel more comfortable on your big day, making your wedding photographs even more successful.
WHAT TO WEAR
One of the most important elements in an engagement session is fashion. Expressing yourselves with an exquisite and coordinated wardrobe brings an editorial look to your images. Your outfits are entirely your choice. Searching for inspiration or ideas? We’re happy to help, see below a link to our Pinterest board. You’ll find inspiration in pairing outfits, colour palettes and general styling.
Shape, Form and Detail are the three elements that we look for when it comes to attire.
Men - Smart Casual - chinos/suit pants, collared shirt, blazer/suit jacket + dress shoes - think GQ
Ladies - A statement fashion piece, something that has a notable element - think Vogue.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR
Bright / Neon colours like yellow, orange, red or pink. Spots and stripes are also not recommended.
Unnecessary jewellery/watches (less is more)
We do not permit thongs, men’s shorts or clothing with large logos.

DO I REQUIRE HAIR AND MAKEUP?
Professional hair and makeup is a prerequisite for all of our engagement sessions.
Hair and makeup is just as important as your fashion choices. Your engagement session is a wonderful opportunity to schedule a trial session with a hair and makeup artist in advance of your wedding day.
Having your hair and makeup professionally done for your engagement session is a great way to see how you will photograph in professional images. Being photographed on film softens your look, allowing you to wear a little more makeup than usual. This experience will help you choose your wedding day look. During your engagement session, my advice is to stick with what you know! Simply look like a more polished version of yourself.

BEST LOCATION AND SHOOT TIMES
We love Sydney city sessions, the urban cityscape lends itself to the style of photography we specialise in. However, we can work together to plan the most perfect location for your engagement session.
Sessions take place late in the afternoon, about one hour prior to sunset.

CAN WE BRING ANY ADDITIONAL PEOPLE?
Due to the way our engagement sessions are designed, they are strictly for the couple only. We do not permit any additional friends, family or fur babies to attend the session.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
The beauty of these sessions is that we have the opportunity to postpone if the weather forecast isn’t in our favour. Ideally, sessions take place on a dry day, however, if you do not have flexibility in postponing (i.e: bound by travel dates, the session is booked too close to the wedding date etc), please chat with the team about your circumstances prior to booking.
